Hello. I’m Mylynda Perera, Occupational Therapist and Owner of Maximising Potential Occupational Therapy.
I have worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years, graduating with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Queensland in 2000. I travelled and worked in the United Kingdom for 7 years before returning to Australia in late 2007.
I have extensive experience in the community setting within Disability, Aged Care, Equipment Prescription, Neurological Disorders, Brain Injury, Cognitive Disorders and Rehabilitation.
I am dedicated to making a difference with each and every person I see, so that their quality of life is improved, along with their physical, social and emotional health. A diagnosis does not define a person and there is definitely no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. I value a comprehensive assessment approach, so that family members and significant others can positively contribute to the assessment and assist you to achieve your goals.
